CORRESPONDENCE FROM:
Jack Little
Consultant Forester, Horticulturist, Landscaper
RE: Annuals Trials

Friend Bill,

I had never ran a closely controlled experiment on annuals in regard to foliage growth in respect to the use of Spray-N-Grow until recently. The plants are coleus and used for colorful foliage.

On all four plants I used your new Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer as a root drench & twice as a foliar spray.

On the 2 plants on the left I used 3 foliar sprayings of Spray-N-Grow. That being the only difference. As you can see I had better color — larger plants and a larger root mass which you cannot see. Also had very little insect damage — almost none. These are very young plants having very rapid and very healthy growth. The Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer alone gave very superior results but as you can see the additional use of Spray-N-Grow made a significant difference in a very short period of time.

Also this past week I spent several hours of time examining the crop and talking with a long time user of Spray-N-Grow by the name of “Hot” Kestner.

He has for many years farmed 6 or 7 acres of vegetables in the Nashville area and is well known for his superior produce. He raises several varieties of many vegetables so its always very interesting to observe the use of Spray-N-Grow on the different cabbages – egg plants – tomatoes, etc. We both agreed that Spray-N-Grow reduces the need for insecticides — probably because of the carbohydrate content and great health of the plants. They just seem to leave the plants alone. This is a pleasure that I have noticed over the years in using Spray-N-Grow.

I wanted to point out and emphasize to anyone using Spray-N-Grow the tremendous advantage of dipping the plants in a solution of Spray-N-Grow (rate of 1 to 1 1/2 ounces per gallon of water) before transplanting into the field or pot as the case may be. For great — & sometimes stunning results — I leave them in the solution for 1 hour to overnight.

Then just before planting I put them into a quick dip of Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer rate 1 ounce per gallon of water. Then one week later I start using Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer and Spray-N-Grow on alternate sprayings two weeks apart. I use Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer as a foliar 2 days before Spray-N-Grow. Two weeks later I repeat. I also use Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer and Spray-N-Grow in the planting medium. If one follows this procedure he or she will produce plants to their genetic potential. In foliar spraying let me recommend the use of a surfactant — your Coco-Wet is great. The surfactant should always be non-ionic.

As you know I have used Spray-N-Grow for many years now and have yet to see or find any product that equals it in performance and in my profession I have seen and tried most.

In closing (being as I have made a letter out of this) let me say that your new combination of Bill’s Perfect Fertilizer, Spray-N-Grow and Coco-Wet surfactant is one very fine combination. It literally enables anyone to enjoy having a very large “green thumb” — always superb results.

Kindest regards,
Jack N. Little
